For the next post in Summer Craft month I would like to share with you what did this month...using lots of sparkly stones and lots of bright colors, I made some fun neon jewelry

Apart from painted Rhinestone jewellery I also made some beaded and neon paper jewelry too..Do take a look :)

Summer Craft Month with Thendral

For the second post in Summer Craft month we have Thendral and her cute daughter from Kavin who have made a Painted craft bowl using a coconut shell.

She has used enamel paint for painting the designs on the outside and left it blank inside so that it can also double up as a snack bowl. Do take a look, for she has included a tutorial for making it :)

Summer Craft Month with Pearlie Samuel

Summer Craft month has finally started at Blogger Kootam with our very talented Origami artist and blogger Pearlie Samuel from Paper n Pearlz. 

She is a paper enthusiast and loves origami and other paper crafts. For the craft month, she a created a beautiful composition with the theme summer .

She says that this is her first origami composition and that she has thoroughly enjoyed making it. All the objects in this scene have been folded in varying proportions, so that all of them blend together. Do take a look, for she has included links that will have more details on the origami and tutorials/instructions for making them :)

Summer Craft Month

Summer in Chennai is unbearably hot. Neither can you go out nor can you stay at home. The best way to beat the summer boredom is by good old crafting. and now is the perfect time for that as "Summer Craft month is here". Summer Craft month is a month long Crafting exhibition of Art, craft, Design and Fashion bloggers from Chennai, our blogger kootam members from May 1st - 30th.  

The Mantra is - "You create, We Showcase" 

  How it works: :

You create any new project - It could be a card, poster, an accessory, a piece of jewelry, a dress, a makeover, a piece furniture...anything that is based on the Theme - Summer. 

You put it up on your blog mentioning the summer craft month and the way it works.

You then send me at (jewelsofsayuri@gmail(dot)com) a mail detailing your work so that I can feature you and your work on the Blogger kootam page with a link to your blog anytime between now and May 29th 2012 to enable the feature.

* You need to be a Chennai or South India based crafter/ Designer to participate for this is all about encouraging local crafts and crafters. *

Keep in mind:

- Please send a small write up about you and the product/craft with a specific link to the post where you have posted about that particular project mentioning the craft month. Photos are not necessary, but I will be taking the image from your blog post for your feature

- Please link back to this blog and the particularly this post as well as your featured post to bring more participants...after all - more the merrier, isnt it?
